Treestands don't demand. Treestands don't complain. Treestands simply ask me to sit down and listen.

Pennsylvania Game News love those "Field Notes" very good stories, and fits in the hunting coat. American Hunter Magizine (NRA), Bugle Magizine(RMEF) also has very good stories and great pics. |

| ABOUT ME |
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, and still get back there every year for deer season. Single, but not desperate or lonely, lonely is cleaning an elk on the side of a mountain after dark with no one watching your back and wondering where that bear went that you saw at sundown, wondering if he had dinner allready. Work is the only thing that keeps me from hunting, but there are sick days lol. I'm in Colorado and I hunt the praries to the hills, usually by myself and sometimes with my daughter. I can sit on an elk trail for hours content whether one comes along or not. Life member NRA, Endowment member NRA, Life member Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, American Legion member, Correctional Peace Officers Foundation and Retired ARMY. Not a know it all but every now and then I do get lucky, and I know what works for me. Would like to hear what works for other folks or just share some hunting stories. Have met some really nice folks out in the wild. I hunt to put meat in the freezer, if something nice comes along well thats just gravy on the taters. Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then. |
| TURN ON'S |
A good hunt, good company, good friends at elkcamp. Good food after a hard hunt. Old farmers that allow me to hunt on there land, they really don't know how much that means to me, most treat me just like family, there the best in my book!!! People that take the time to teach kids the outdoors. No fences, self guided and self sponsored 100% fair chase. People that are happy with the hunt even if there is no game on the the meat pole at the end of the day. |
| TURN OFF'S |
People that disrespect the outdoors, poachers, liar's, cheaters, disonest and nasty people. PETA, People that charge large amounts of money to hunt, golf courses built in the valley's where the elk and deer used to feed and migrate. People that don't take the time to get good with guns or bows. Lazy hunters, 4-wheelers that abuse the land, Road hunters unless your disabled. TV shows that show a big bull or buck on the skyline and the hunter still shoots, bad shots in the rear of the animal just to put it on the ground, sorry your show just got cancelled on my TV! Wannbe hunters that call themselves killers and such, sorry the term "Hunter" is something you have to earn thru ethics, respect for the game. and respect for the land you walk on. If you can do that we can hunt, if not stay at home. |
| HOBBIES |
Hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, cooking, canning, woodworking, watching the critters with the camera, hiking. Staying in shape so packing out an elk on my back is a little more fun. When you put more time and effort into a hobbie than you do at work, then it becomes a way of life and no longer a hobbie and thats the best. |
