Title: Protect our 2nd Amendment Rights

Blog Entry: My opinion is mine...Your opinion is yours. I don't believe in arguing with one about the upcoming presidential election on who is right or wrong for the job.
But what I do believe is that our second amendment should be protected at all costs. We have our firearm laws and they do work for the most part.
*Someone sells a gang member a firearm...what do they do....shoot someone with it.
*Or an idiot looking to protect themselves......who has no education on even how to handle a weapon in the first place.
*Protection of the home.....Most people do not lock up their firearms and then their children finds the gun and accidentally shoots their friend.
These are prime examples of why most do not believe in firearms and fears them...
which is fine, that is their opinion.
But, us as HUNTERS, are fully educated on how to use and control our firearms, we put them in safes to keep them away from our own children, we even educate our children about firearms.
On top of that, we mainly use these firearms to HUNT!
Most people fear any type of weapon because of their "lack of knowledge" about them. Which eventually, the kids either feed off their parents fear of guns or they become curios, this leads into someone getting hurt.
Taking our firearms away/our second amendment right is not a solution to any problem.
Obama apparently has very little to NO knowledge about firearms.
Obviously!
For myself, years ago, I was that person who was afraid to have any firearm in my home or near my children. But, eventually I was educated and had taken a Hunters Education Course. Now, my children are fully aware of firearms and understand what they are used for, mainly hunting and if the occasion arises, the protection of our home.
Personally, I think if anyone is to purchase a firearm, legally...
-they all must have a firearm safety course.
I know this does not solve majority of our firearm issues and does not stop the under the table gun selling.
But one should be educated no matter the age.
Electing Obama is not going to "cure" the mishandling of firearm issues or any other issues at that.
His solution is to ban all firearms, raise taxes on firearm purchases and eliminate most ammunition.
GREAT SOLUTION OBAMA! Was those your only choices?
Knowledge is power and apparently his knowledge of firearms are extremely limited.
We need to elect a president who cares about our heritage, our way of life.
